Carrying forward a five-generation legacy of Ayurvedic healing, Dr. Preetha A. stands as a pillar of wisdom, compassion, and excellence at Ayush Ayurveda Hospital and Research Center. Inspired by her father, the founder of Ayush, Dr. Preetha's journey into Ayurveda began in her childhood, often sitting beside him during patient consultations and absorbing the art of holistic healing.

After completing her BAMS from Government Ayurveda College, Tripunithura (1987–1991), she pursued MD in Shalakyatantra (1996) from Government Ayurveda College, Trivandrum. With a vision to expand her knowledge, she also earned a Postgraduate Diploma in Ayurveda Cosmetology, a Fellowship in Chemical Cosmetology, and a Diploma in Panchakarma.

She began her career as a Medical Officer at Government Ayurveda Hospital Pinangode, Wayanad in 1996. Over her illustrious career spanning three decades, Dr. Preetha has served across various hospitals and dispensaries in Wayanad. She served as Hospital Superintendent in Kannur and Kozhikode and later as District Medical Officer, Wayanad earning recognition for her excellence in healthcare administration and patient care. She retired as Joint Director of Indian Systems of Medicine (ISM) in 2025.

Key Achievements:

• Initiating the Sugandhagiri Tribal Hospital Construction to bring Ayurveda to remote tribal communities
• Spearheading the Integrated Hospital for Children with Developmental Disorders
• Launching the Ayusparsham Project, providing holistic care for children with developmental challenges
• Organizing numerous medical camps across Wayanad to ensure access to healthcare in underserved areas
• Playing a key role in Kerala's COVID-19 response with innovative Ayurveda-based interventions

With a distinguished career in academia and administration, Dr. Mohandas V.P. brings exceptional leadership and vision to Ayush Ayurveda Hospital & Research Center as its Managing Director.

A former Professor and Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering under the Technical Education Department of Government of Kerala, Dr. Mohandas has spent three decades nurturing young minds and driving innovation in the field of engineering. His academic foundation includes B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering and M.Tech in Industrial Engineering, and Ph.D. in Quality Management, which has shaped his ability to lead an institution with precision, structure, and commitment to excellence. He is a man of successful Business Management.

At Ayush, Dr. Mohandas plays an instrumental role in managing, coordinating, planning, and controlling the hospital's diverse activities. From strategic decision-making to operational efficiency, he ensures the institution upholds its legacy of Ayurvedic excellence while embracing modern healthcare practices.

Dr. Aiswarya Mohandas

Dr. Aiswarya Mohandas serves as the Deputy Medical Director at Ayush Ayurveda Hospital & Research Center, bringing fresh perspectives and modern medical expertise to the family legacy of healing.

As a graduate of Government Medical College, Thrissur, Dr. Aiswarya represents the next generation of the family's commitment to healthcare excellence. Her medical training provides valuable insights into integrating traditional Ayurvedic practices with contemporary medical approaches.

Smt. Sukumari Amma
